Display on phone said Verizon. I have verizon service so I answered. Women said (heavy accent) she was from department of Windows. I hung up immediately. If I do not recognize phone number, I let it go to answering machine, but of course they don't leave messages, because they are usually scams, or timeshare or whatever
Caller ID said Verizon. I answered. This is Steve from the technical department of Windows. Your computer is sending us virus messages.-Never got any further, they got a blast from my air horn and then got blocked.
Called Verizon, all they told me is that they have no control over who calls me and proceeded to try and sell me other services-so they were no help.
Called with "Verison" on caller ID, with heavy accent, clamed that he is from Microsoft support, my computer is sending to Microsoft kind of massages about security. Asked me to type "EVENTVWR" into "run" window. I refused, he hung up. Scam, pure genuine scam.
called me on momday morning & left a voice message just breathing into the phone, & people speaking in the back for 52 seconds. Wtf? I'd get it if you accidentally went to voicemail for a couple seconds but for almost a minute? Just breathing into the phone? Weird
