Call from 213-213-5992 with the ever-so-clever callerid "213-213-5992". The robot said:
"Hi this is Sherry with Yahoo Bing Google local specialist. It is extremely urgent that we speak to the business owner. We've tried to reach you numerous times regarding your business and your online business listings may not yet be claimed. There is also another issue with your current online business listing that we need to discuss with the business owner as well. Press 1 to speak with an agent now and claim your listing. If you do not press 1 and claim your listing your customers may not be able to find you online. If you are not the business owner press 9 and you will be removed from the list."
a) Yahoo Bing Google is not a company.
b) If you "specialize" in all search engines then you're not a specialist.
c) It is extremely urgent to who? Not to me!
d) I've been ignoring their robot cold-calling numerous times, but they are too stupid to figure this out.
e) An agent had dang well better NOT claim my listing and hold it hostage. I claim my own listings, tyvm.
f) Don't bother pressing 9, only stupid people give cold-callers any information at all.
Called my land line twice within 1 minute, and I didn't pick up. They left no message. Both the number and the name for the caller ID were displayed as 213-213-5992. Since that's obviously spoofed, and Doris received a call from the same number only 4 hours ago, I'm guessing this is a scam.
I received an automated call from this phone number, the phone menu had an option to speak to someone. The call seemed to imply it had something to do with a Google Site I had. I asked the person who they worked for and they said "I work for the government" and he said "you didn't pay your taxes." He was an American speaking person that was arrogant but had a calm demeanor about whatever he wanted. He didn't get far with me.
Called about my Online Business listing not being cleaned. I had to claim my listing by talking to them. It was a recorded message. Another one blocked
