I got a call from this number that rang once and quit. I called back and got a recording saying "If you would like to be placed on the do-not-call list for this number, press 1." I didn't. It never identified the person or company.
Got a call from this number, since I don't answer numbers I don't recognize, didn't answer it. Googled it, found this page, called back & used option 1 to be taken off the list. Hopefully it's automated removal from the list. Thanks for the info everyone!
Caller ID showed the same number--that flagged it as a scammer; didn't answer, they left no message. Blocked it.
I'm up to 160 blocked numbers so far. Some, I blocked the whole area code (like Jamaica), others, after several calls a few numbers off, I could tell they were calling from a phone bank, so I blocked the area code plus exchange (first six numbers), and erased the individual number entries. Any call from that same city's exchange will be blocked.
