Got a call 5 minutes ago stating that he found my lost credit card. When I asked the dude who he was, he told me I was harrassing him and hung up on me.
A guy named Reed. I asked what it was regarding, he said he was from some home something, he said it was regarding my utilities bill, he said it wasn't a sales call, and then proceeded to read off an address to see if it was correct. i asked him to leave a phone number, and he hung up.
I let the guy keep talking. He said he was from California Construction and wanted to set up an appt to give me a free estimate for home repair. As soon as I agreed to a appt date, he said his supervisor would call me back to confirm the appt. Within minutes call came in from same number. Didn't answer. It will be interesting to see if they show up. I'm on Do Not Call too!
read a booklet called "How To Sue A Telemarketer" by lawyer-Stephen Ostrow...tells you what data to collect from the caller, act cool and sue from 500 bucks to i think 1500 (depends on what they have done). I recommend this booklet, 1st chapter tells you what to do when the telemarketer calls and how he's let these "SOB'S" off the hook by not gathering some info and bringing them to court in the past.
I, for one, am going to use this book.
How awful these band of cockaroaches are allowed to get away with calling and making threats not to mention unsolicited. This is a job for LA DA Carmen Trutanich and John and Ken from KFI radio should know too.
This number 2132218402 is related to 2135683369. Says Home Improvement, but no one on the other end of the line. Calls are frequent and done in succession of one another.
