I received a voicemail with a recorded message that was cut off at the beginning and followed by the message I had 4 allegations against me and authorities would be coming and I needed to contact this number (213-228-5629) from what I've read it sounds like a scam but I'm going to report it to the local police.
Recorded message. The beginning was cut off. Says something about getting back to them in the next 24 hours, otherwise the local cops will arrest and handcuff you because there are 4 serious allegations against you. They don't mention what the allegations are or what company is calling.
Just got a call from them again. Went to voice mail. The 1st time I heard it - scared me to death and I called the number back - Who ever it is doesn't speak very good English and they are very rude. They won't tell you what charges are against you just that payment needs to be made or they will send the Marshall out to your residence in the next 45 minutes. We told them to send them out and nothing ever happened. I did call the local police department (non emergency number).
Same message about local cops sent to arrest me. I called them back and asked who they were and they reply they were investigators for the IRS. Imagine their surprise when I informed them I too was an investigator for the Federal government. They hung up.........
