I have also been getting these calls- 3 times in the last 6 hours. I didn't answer the first 2 and got no message, then the second time I answered and there was no one there! Gah! Good to know its a scammer, not that I would have bought an over the phone warranty on a type of computer i don't even own! I have a toshiba computer! I've never owned a dell!
This number has called me at work 4 times just this morning (2/29/08)! No messages left. Since reading all the comments here, I've tried calling it back, always buzy. We do have a Dell Computer, It's about 3 yrs old, I guess I could have used my work number when I bought it.
I received a call supposedly from Dell asking if I wanted to purchase an extended warranty. The woman didn't sound professional at all, so I assumed that it wasn't really from Dell. Is this really a Dell representative?
This person claiming to be from Dell is wanting me to purchase an extended warranty for my Dell laptop that was purchased almost 1 year ago.
I asked her to send me an e-mail with the prices but very skeptical. Then I found this website and very glad that I did not agree to via telephone. She said that she would need to call me and that I could not call her back. I actually found info. from Dell when I purchased my computer and I will use this information if I choose to extend my warranty. The person told me that she was calling from India but when I did the reverse lookup, I noticed that this is a California area code.
