Keep getting many calls from various area codes and phone #'s. Some show up with ALLIED INTERSTATE in the caller ID, some don't. Everytime I answer (when I do), there is nobody there.
I've googled these numbers, whether with/without caller ID and it's always ALLIED INTERSTATE. They are a collection agency, very dishonest and shady.
Every message I've read from people reporting this so-called business is always the same...ALLIED INTERSTATE IS A NASTY PLAGUE, PREYING ON INNOCENT PEOPLE.
I have no clue as to why they are calling me. My credit is impeccable and don't have any debts.
Please add to this site if you, too, are plagued by ALLIED INTERSTATE.
I keep getting phone calls from 213-232-2316. Most of the time I don't answer because I don't recognize the phone number. I answered today and they ask for someone and I said, that person isn't here...the lady hung up. Other times, they say "Wait for an important phone call." I wait and then they hang up. Be ware of this company.
I believe this is just one of a few hundred numbers from allied collection agency or one of it's affiliates. It is for a very old bill that you have, in my case it is from 1994, some 13 years ago.DON'T EVER HOLD ON WHEN A TAPE SAYS "PLEASE HOLD FOR AN IMPORTANT CALL." It will never be a legitimate call about you winning money, but on another site there is a scam going on by some lowlifes in other countries that get enormous amounts of money from you while you are holding for whatever, some as high as 5.99 a minute, and because it is from another country it is very hard for you to clear this up. Especially if you held for three or more minutes... try to explain to the telephone co. that you were holding for 10 minutes or whatever waiting for ???? they will tell you that noone is that stupid and neither are they, very tough to wipe out. SO BEWARE.... If your phone has a feature like mine, you just enter the number and undet type of ring, enter silent, and you will never be bothered by the ringing anyway,GOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK
I just recieved a call from 213-232-2316,I let it go right to voicemail because I did not recognize the number.Be aware of this number and do not respond.
