Keep getting many calls from various area codes and phone #'s. Some show up with ALLIED INTERSTATE in the caller ID, some don't. Everytime I answer (when I do), there is nobody there.
I've googled these numbers, whether with/without caller ID and it's always ALLIED INTERSTATE. They are a collection agency, very dishonest and shady.
Every message I've read from people reporting this so-called business is always the same...ALLIED INTERSTATE IS A NASTY PLAGUE, PREYING ON INNOCENT PEOPLE.
I have no clue as to why they are calling me. My credit is impeccable and don't have any debts.
Please add to this site if you, too, are plagued by ALLIED INTERSTATE.
received a call 8-6-08 from 213-232-2316 asking for my husbands ex wife and by her maiden name at that. She has been married twice since maiden name. I told them that this was my husbands ex that they had the wrong number. Then they had the nerve to ask me how to get a hold of her. I told them to find out for themselves and then I went off on them. Caller had the nerve to tell me to calm down. I owe them nothing and will talk to them any way I want to. From now on when they call or ask how to get a hold of her I will start playing games with them, I get bored with these type of people and like to waste their time, like they do mine.
This number kept calling me and waiting for my voice message, then hanging up. I answered it once and it was a recording. So I hung up. Now i have it saved in my phone as "recored mess. hang up" with a specific ring. so now i know it's that number and I usually answer it right away and hang up at the same speed. It seemed to slow them down, now they only call once a month.
Remeber: You have the power to hang up at any time,use that power.
This number calls daily. I never answer. Called it back today and got a woman who identified the company so rapidly I did not catch name. She would absolutely not repeat it. Things got pretty ugly pretty fast.
Best part - I found out if I do not hang up it ties up their line for about 10 mins during which time she will carry on something awful about how I needed to hang up the phone.
We received a call from (213) 232-2316, "allied Interste" on the caller ID. I answered it, no one there, then a robot voice came on and told me this was a test message. My wife immediately called the number back and someone asked if my ex-wife (by name) was there. She and I have been divorced for 24 years! She's remarried since, as have I, so there should be no connection to the phone number or to my credit record.
