IT'S A SCAM. - They call often from different #s in Michigan. Kalamazoo and Wayne. They tried to give me a 120$ BP gas card if I would just pay the shipping of 9.95$. I told the lady that I heard about this scam and she starting yelling at me that this isn't a scam. They have the last 4 digits of your visa debit or CC, your name and the exp. date. They want you to give them the first twelve digits so they can run up phony transactions. The funny thing was they gave me the last 4 digits of a card I cancelled last month because I thought they had too much info on me. IT'S A SCAM.
They keep calling me at least daily and on many days several time a day. If I hang up on them the call right back. On one of their calls they said my wife commited a fraud and had owed over $4,000.00 on a credit card. NOT TRUE. FALSE. I called the police as Verizon told me to. They called them and informed them not to call me anymore. That did absolutely no good. I will not give them any information. STOP CALLING ME!!!
I just got a call from them. They were saying that I had recently showed interest in a governmnet grant and would like to know what I wanted it for. I told them I never showed any interest in it or researched it online. Then she said well would you mind me sharing the information about this grant. I hung up. I have been registered with the DNC (DO NOT CALL) for over a month now. It's not working out too well being that the majority of calls that come to my cell phone are calls like these. I would have to spend all day reporting them in hope that they might do something about it. But I highly doubt it. But I report as much as I can anyway. These companies can be sued for up to $16,000. Any legitimate business should know that these calls are now ILLEGAL and if they are still calling then obviously they are not legit.
I'd have to agree with you. They call throughout the day and night (until 8pm CST) and do not leave a voice message. I had another person call back so that my number didn't register on their end, they answered by a simple "hello" and when asked who they were, she said she was from Quick Grant. VERY annoying calls.
I also registered with the DNC...and many people complaining about this same company had too. I wonder if this is just a huge coincidence or something else is going on.
