IT'S A SCAM. - They call often from different #s in Michigan. Kalamazoo and Wayne. They tried to give me a 120$ BP gas card if I would just pay the shipping of 9.95$. I told the lady that I heard about this scam and she starting yelling at me that this isn't a scam. They have the last 4 digits of your visa debit or CC, your name and the exp. date. They want you to give them the first twelve digits so they can run up phony transactions. The funny thing was they gave me the last 4 digits of a card I cancelled last month because I thought they had too much info on me. IT'S A SCAM.
I'm tired of these calls. I get them all the way up till 9:00pm and I'm sick of it. I wished I knew what I could do to stop the calls. I too am on the Do Not Call List.
We should be able to sue for harassement.

I've been getting multipal calls frome this. # (1-213-239-2891) over and over. When I first answered the phone. A actual person asks for me. Then I get transfered to a computer automated voice. I said some thing about a machine and a lady stared talking again. So I talked to her. Anout it and she asked for a credit card for shipping nd handling. I told her i dont give card info over the phone. Then she got real stern like mad. And asked for the card number again. Right then I had a bad feelin about it. So I said I would have to look it up to verify the grant. And since then I've been getting anywhere from 2 to 5 calls from the same mumner. And when I call I back I get nothing. It's gettinf very very old it needs to stop!!!
found a somewhat temporary "solution" for those of you who are receiving a ton a phone calls all day long. I entered the 213-239-2891 number into my "Contacts" list. Then, I chose a "Silent" ring tone, instead of one that could be heard (I have Verizon, but am sure that other phone company's offer a choice of ring tones when you are entering a Contact too). Now, when this company calls, I do not hear the phone ring at all--it just goes to "Missed Call".....just an idea I thought I would throw out at all of you....
Just one of the numbers I'm having problems with lately. I signed up for the dnc list way back when i first heard news that telemarketers would be able to call mobile numbers. For a long time, life was good. Now, not so much. I get calls all the time from telemarketers and scammers. I'm careful about giving out my phone number, but it has been given out at least a couple times. Apparently, you can't trust anyone and I'm no longer giving it out. Today, I was called three times by these companies. This happens way too much. If I ignore, I might get an annoying voicemail. If I answer, they just hang up. So tonight this company calls, I answer, they hang up. I call back, ask what is going on, they basically tell me I went to their website to inquire about free government money (bu***hit). I say that I'll check my computer cache. The lady says goodbye. So then I called back until they answered and my strategy was to feign interest and just stay borderline batshitcrazy. The result is this audio clip which contains the very end of my second call, followed by a phone call that lasts nearly 9 minutes.
