I received the same phone call just a little while ago....the caller stated my name and said they were going to be out sometime tomorrow to serve me papers....Well come on and join the party! Send the papers so I can see what you are talking about! Better yet, I can't wait to get them because I know it's a scam.... I called the number back and the phone just rang!! So go figure!!!! SMH @ the STUPID people!!! I hung up on them and added them to my contacts so I can send their call right to voice mail whenever they do decide to call again!!!
Called yesterday and did not leave a message. Called today and I answered. Said they had legal papers for a Michael Hicks. I told him I've never heard of him and he told me I'd have to call some other number to have my number removed. I am not calling that other number but it was 855-811-8259. Interestingly, I live in norcal, but I have an east coast area code on my cell because I've had that number for years. Not sure if they are targeting people out of state. I told the guy I am on the federal do not call list and that he was calling a cell phone, but he said it was a legal matter, not tele-marketing. Whatever. It's not my name they are looking for. Good luck with that, pal.
These same people with both number 855-811-8259 and 213-260-9483 have called two of my relatives, my grandmother and my cousin. I called the first number back where they told me the same they did not have anyone who matched my first and last name, then said wait I do but there is a lock on the case file please hold while they get a manager. After about 10 min on hold I hung up, came home looked number up on several sights and BBB with no location. Then today I get a call from my grandmother they have called her asking crazy questions including telling her her own social, I knew right then it's a scam. I claimed bankruptcy 2 years a go and I have NO outstanding debt. My phone number and address have been the same for years .........be very aware!
Have received calls from this number on both my cell phone and my wife's. They say they are from RW & Associates but if this is the case, why are they calling from an anonymous cell phone rather than a legitimate land line? They say they are going to deliver some "legal documents" before even confirming my identity. Definitely scammers. Beware.
I keep getting hang ups from this number on my cell phone. I generally do not answer numbers I do not recognize. This unidentified caller has also called my daughters cell phone asking for me. (we are on the same cell phone bill). when she answered they wanted to know if she would be home between a certain time so that they could serve a summons. As far as I know we aren't being sued for anything. And my daughter lives out of state. After she told them she was not me they were rude and pressured her to give them my phone number which is why I am complaining. Who are they and how did they get our personal cell #'s. Please make it stop.
These people keep calling me on my cell phone about accounts I have never had and at home for for people I don't even know so I called some friends that work at the Police dept that I have dealt with in the past working at a legitimate Attorneys office. They confirmed that this is a scam and not to give them any information... I am waiting for a detective to call me back to make a formal complaint. I hope these idiots are found and get what they deserve.
