Played a message in Spanish I couldn't make out, as my Spanish is terrible. Called back, person answered, "Buenos tardes." As soon as I said, "I received a call from this number?" They hung up.
Got a call from this number this morning. I knew I shouldn't have answered but I know people in that area code. It was a spanish robo call. So I call it back. A lady with a Mexican accent said "sorry wrong number" and hung up. This is the same m.o. as recent calls from different numbers so I call back again and again asking for the name of the company. Finally on call 57 she told me California Home Solar in Van Nuys, CA. Went to their website and called. Got the answering machine. Left a message letting him know the telemarketers told me it was his company, that robocalling is illegal, calling numbers on the do no call list are illegal, calling after being asked several times to not call again all are reasons I can sue for damages.
Will this help? Doubtful. But if it continues I am close enough to file a case in small claims for the $500 per call. Won't waste my time but it is fun to imagine anyway.
