got the same call other people here have received - claimed that my computer was having an issue - wanted me to be in front of it (which I was) and tried to explain that my computer was sending malware reports to Windows. When i asked him what he wanted me to do, he started treating me like an idiot (press the Start button) but when i tried pressing him for more details of what he wanted me to do, he got flustered, tried to tell me that he wanted to help and when I told him where to get off, he told me he knew my father and tried saying something in an bad Indian accent is when I hung up. Tried calling the number back but got a fast busy signal which indicates a trunk issue where ever this call originated. Complete and utter scam and just hang up on these people - just too stupid - do not be taken in!
Some one from this number keeps calling and never leaves a message. I have learned to not answer phone calls from Private numbers, Unknown Caller etc...
This person with a middle eastern accent left a message on my machine at home. I saved it because nobody can understand what he is saying and he's screaming. Stereotypical and funny. I have blocked this number. Also got a call from the Nigerians last week, told him never to call my number again, reported it to the Feds and blocked him too. Must be hard being an international scammer, the bad economy must be taking a toll!
Received a call but I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message, of course. Called back & received an error message that the number was not in service. Freakin' telemarketers. I'm already on the do not call list. A lot of good that does.
person said he was calling about my computer and when I said there was nothing wrong with my computer he hung up. I tried to call the number to find out who was calling but operator said number was not correct and should check the number. Obviously i copied down the correct number.
I received a call from (213) 271-1590. Broken asian accent told me I was being given $7,000 grant money as stated above. I was given the number (202) 621) 0363 to call with my confirmation # and told to call back. Knowing it's a scam, I called to see what they would say. It rang once and then rang as if it were busy.
