got the same call other people here have received - claimed that my computer was having an issue - wanted me to be in front of it (which I was) and tried to explain that my computer was sending malware reports to Windows. When i asked him what he wanted me to do, he started treating me like an idiot (press the Start button) but when i tried pressing him for more details of what he wanted me to do, he got flustered, tried to tell me that he wanted to help and when I told him where to get off, he told me he knew my father and tried saying something in an bad Indian accent is when I hung up. Tried calling the number back but got a fast busy signal which indicates a trunk issue where ever this call originated. Complete and utter scam and just hang up on these people - just too stupid - do not be taken in!
These demonic people who are going straight to HELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tried to pass themselves off as a relative who was in trouble in TJ and needed money... they knew a lot of private information... So they take the time to investigate you and all... They deserve an Oscar for their performances. They were spanish speaking. BE WARE OF THESE PEOPLE....don't let them hurry you into acting quickly in sending money. They keep like the other comments abouve refering to Bank of America, and Western Union....
A man with a middle eastern accent keeps calling my house phone. He says that my computer is sending error messages to him. So I asked him what they said. He just said go to a computer and turn it on. After I insisted that my Mac was working just fine and dandy he argued with me saying that it was not and that it was broken. I told him that he was funny and he hung up on me. Obviosally a SCAM! I hope no one falls for this. How can I report it??!
Received call from "computer security dept". Female voice sounded hispanic with a limited vocabulary.
Wanted to walk me through fixing a "problem" with my computer. Eventually hung up when I asked her what kind of a !@#@$%^ moron she thought I was to even think I would let her screw with my computer.
