said it was department of legal affairs for the united states treasury. I owe them 13,045 and they can seize my bank account, any personal property, 6 months in jail and I need to get a lawyer.
I have gotten 7 calls today from a Pakistani man.He has a very heavy accent. Starts out telling me his name is Robert Matthews. His Dept of Treasury ID # id 1559 have been found to be money laundering and am guilty of tax evaision. He tells me I am going to be arrested and will be put in prison for 6 mo. He is very very rude and called me a BI%%h on 3 occasions. I told him I would verify this call by calling The Dept of Treasury. He then went on to tell me my daughter was in danger and my husband would die. He called back 4 more times. How can I stop this?

received a call from David Baxter, foreign accent, stating he was with Dept of Legal Affairs, United States Treasury, First call received yesterday about 6PM EST. 2nd call received today 8:53 AM EST, Call placed from 213 area code which is Los Angeles. Both calls advising me to contact him about a "serious legal enforcement against my name" He advised that I could have my attorney call him, ( my attonrey agrees this is a scam) Second call his tone was more threatening, implying something serious would happen to me if I didn't return his call. I'm sure this is the same person every one else is talking about and something should be done ot stop this
I just received the same exact call but number was 530-733-0023. When I looked it up it stated Gazelle, Ca, which is right on the border of CA and Oregon population 70. I have had quite a few scams but not like this one. I have a feeling they are going to say money due on taxes since it said US Treasury and the attorney and all. I definitely going to contact Dept. of Legal Affairs, I think it's really bad to impersonate someone else, above all the government.
First of two phone calls from a "David Baxter," with a difficult accent to decipher that sounds very much from India/Pakistan, claiming to be with Legal Affairs for the Department of Treasury. The run down was similar to what others have stated, suggesting an attorney be retained to contact him back and hinting at a big legal mess.
