Just now got a call from this number but didn't answer. This is getting ridiculous. I am getting 2-3 a day from various numbers like this on my cell phone and I haven't even given my number out!
Got a call today from this number.... First call from them. Not knowing anyone from Los Angles, I let the answering machine answer. No message left.
Take the worry out of your calls by NOT answering if you don't know who it is or don't recognize the number. Some folks fail to remember, "Just because the phone rings, doesn't mean you have got to answer it."
If you don't answer your phone when these idiots call, it's the best thing you can do. They can't try to sell you something, they can't harass you, they can't lie to you & etc. It's the best treatment you can give them. Yes, play the stupid game with them and YOU win at it. Don't Answer. They will eventually get the picture that after hiring the people they have and not getting any results, that it is a loosing battle.
Also, there are "call bots" that come from computers. They call all the numbers from a selected database, and keep record of the calls that have a live person that answers the call. The bots have nobody on the other end to talk to you. These lists are the lists that are sold to other "call systems and call centers" with the hopes of getting you to fall for a survey while others are trying to sell you those unbeliveable products. And trust me when I say SOLD. They do sell them every day. DON'T ANSWER. Watch your called ID.
I constantly receive calls from 213-289-9006 and I let them all go to my answering machine; however, no message is ever left. My number is on a no-call list but that doesn't stop these folks from constantly calling me. Thank goodness for Caller ID and answering machines. I have since changed my recording to state that I am screening all of my calls and to leave me a message if they have any hopes for me to call back.
