I got this number an hour ago, and it is the same scaming phone krap as you guys have experienced. I am also on the do not call list. I was able to effectively block the culprits on my home answering machine. The volume of Illegal/Scam calls to my home has gone way down by blocking each and every scam number. I have been checking them on the internet and am quite sure that they are all Scams. I did try to get through to the qwest "call rejection" service number [1-888-(yourareacode)-8052]. It is now
Century link, and it is quite evident that no matter which phone I call from, the only thing I was allowed to do is loop-out and end with the message "I'm sorry, I didn't get that". "Please try again Later"- if I tried to enter my home phone number. Anyway, instead of multiple calls daily, I am down to about one krap call every three days. I get this probably 2-3 times a week. The caller ID says Los Angeles CA. There is a message, but all my VM picks up is "a small port fee applies." That's all it says, so I know it's somebody trying to sell me something I don't want. I am so glad caller ID exists. If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer.
