They use a reverse directory thats how they get your phone number...and it certainly is a SCAM.....I contacted TD Visa and they have verified this for me...DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO OVER THE PHONE WHEN YOU GET AN UNSOLICITED CALL......I TOLD THEM I WOULD CHECK WITH TD VISA AND HUNG UP...
AND YOU ALL SHOULD DO THE SAME.......
This number just called me just now , didn't answer. I don't know anyone from Cali???? i am from Canada and did add my number to the Canadan do not call list for telemarketers in Sept 2008, but was told that they sold our numbers to American companies and this is why i believe they are calling!
I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and just received a call from this "Spider Spider". I couldn't hear a thing they were saying, sounded really muffled. I just hung up. Weird

the person calling was using a phone card. perhaps ur friends or familly from other countries. spider spider is the provider for the phone card company.
It's very strange as I have had it come up with the same mentioned and have answered it. It ends up being someone that I know. I am not sure why all of sudden numbers are showing up this way perhaps it has to do with the mobile provider. I sure would like to know as this has been happening only recently but from various callers all of whom I know.
