I got a phone call from this number 213-337-8679. This guy said that I had to pax taxes and they will send me someone to arrest me... of course it is a spam. Be careful with this number and this people.
My husband got a call this morning from this number. I called it blocked and they refuse to speak w me unless my number is unblocked. I keep calling private and they hang up or play me music lol. Its a scam
I received 3 calls from this number over the past two days threatening me with legal action if I do not call them back immediately. Because these messages went to my voice mail the man in the phone with an Indian accent threatened me by stating that legal action would be taken at my place of business because I was trying to avoid him.
My home number is on a no call list and I am still being called with threatening phone calls. How does this happen?
I too received a call from this number 213-337-8679. The person's name was Peter Smith(foreign speaking). He said I needed to call back and that he was calling from the Depth of Legal Affairs, US Treasury Dept. :regarding a legal matter and if I didn't contact him, the legal authorities would be at my doorstep, resulting in a legal mess for me. My number is on a no call list also, but someone this is not foolproof.
There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers in both Canada and the USA.
