I got a phone call from this number 213-337-8679. This guy said that I had to pax taxes and they will send me someone to arrest me... of course it is a spam. Be careful with this number and this people.
Over the past two weeks, I have been receiving these same type of threatening messages on my vm as far as a legal matter with the US Treasury and pending action. At one point I called the number back and could hear people talking, but no one answered. Today I finally answered their call and the man with an Indian accent said I needed to call his "senior officer" back. How do I block this # and does it work? HELP!
I filled out a report to the IRS (US Treasury Dept.), the US Dept., of Trade, the Attorney General's, Verizon (because it's their land line), and they are conducting illegal business on this line (unless of course impersonating a US Treasury official is acceptable), the Police of course, because you have to reference the complaint no., etc..am I forgetting anyone???
The land line is out of the LA Calif. area. It of course is probably forwarded to somewhere in India.
The issue is there is not one single dept. or entity out there for this type of crime. I do hope the US Treasury Dept. shuts them down for impersonating and conducting illegal operations in their name. Well, John Q. Public, I tried....I also called them approx. 100 times to irritate and poke at them, I did block the no. so they could not call me back!!! We can all pay them back somehow. I feel bad for the individuals that did send money in a panic. It got my blood boiling though....
