Got a call and it sounded like a call center. Then an east Indian sounding man said, "Hello? Hello?" Then he hung up. Just before this, I got a call from a scammer that said there was a criminal case against me, blah, blah, blah. I blocked that number (951-582-4835) and got this one immediately after. Blocked this one too :)
Got a call from this number saying I was approved for a loan. I had applied for loans on the internet, so was not suspicious. The company Name is Installment Loans. They have an official looking letter head (I had them mail me a copy of the loan agreement). Then they said I needed to pay 130 Dollars for insurance on the loan since my credit was not that good, I paid the amount via western union. Next they claimed my bank was not letting the loan be deposited and they needed 249 Dollars to fix the problem, Well I Figured I had went this far and I did not want to lose my initial money so I sent the 249. (I had checked their phone number on google and found no complaints, checked with the BBB and found no complaints). Over the next 3 days they had scammed out of over 1000 Dollars, always they would say this is the last step and you will get your money back plus the loan amount, always there was something to come up that the loan could not be deposited into my bank. The person that talked to me was called Jennifer, said her boss was Ben Smith (accounts manager) and they had a Shirley Jones Seattle, Washington Picking up the Western Unions and Money Grams. Another phone number I had been given was (800) 499-3139 for Ben Smith.
