This number has been harassing me for the last three days. Yesterday, I got fed up and harassed them back. They claim to be IRS officers who have sent police to your home to serve you papers for your arrest. First and foremost, the IRS contacts people by mail if there is an issue, and intructs you what to do. Secondly, they do not give you their direct phone number which ultimately goes straight to Magic Jack. This is a scam that they are trying to pull.
Just got the message and am not single. Goggled the number just out of plain curiosity and found all kinds of comments (scam). My brother in law worked for the IRS and I've personally delt with the IRS. They will never call you, you will always get a letter if they need to contact you. I wanted to call back and mess with them but the line has been busy. I think they probably realized us true Americans aren't going to fall for their childish ****.
