GLOBALREACH INT, 213-452-6539 on my caller ID; I have read some of the comments, but- what are we supposed to do about these people that call at any time regardless of the time of the day(early AM-late PM), isn't there any law , to stop these people from disturbing us? I don't want to be insultive about it, but it is getting to the point when one loses it's cool; first of all I'm disable and can't be attending to these annoyances, one picks up the phone and no one says anything at the other end or just say hello and then hangup; I think that these calls are coming from over sea the hello sounds like from India or somewhere from around that area of the planet and the delay in the response and the sound in the back ground-makes me think that it's coming from over seas - how can we block these callers? I press *89 on my phone to block the caller,but it does not work for them.
There is a law, in fact there are many laws, however when you're already commiting federal felony-level fraud (as they are), telemarketing laws are not really a concern. This is not true telemarketing, it is phishing for information.
The easiest solution is to simply change your phone number. Although, after messing with them for a while last night they haven't called me since. I'm trying to establish contact with Vegas law enforcement as well. You might do th esame - the more incidents/info the better.
