Who called from 2134570323

I get a call from this company now and than. I have caller ID, and don' answer any calls unless I know the number. I sometimes research a number as I did this one. I get too many calls from numbers like this one to answer.

I just got a call from this number a few moments ago. The guy was foreign and said that I had just won a government grant and how would I like to spend the money. I like an idiot gave him my address and but then it dawned on me, if he worked for the government then he should already know that. He kept asking quesrtions so I listened, but soon stopped him and asked what his name was? He gave me some bogus name, Steve Raymond. I asked him what city and state he was calling me from and he answered and said, the US government. So I asked again and again what city and state that he was calling from, he then said Washington DC. I told him to hold on while I checked the area code of the number, and it wasnt Washington. So as I had him on hold, he placed me on hold and then hung up. This is some kind of scam. If they are trying to still my identity or credit, the joke will be on them. My credit is JACKED UP.

I just got a call from a man with a very thick Hindi accent. The number on my phone showed up as 213-457-0323 and said it was ILINK Communications. The man said I had won a $10,000 government grant.

When I didn't say anything he said "hello?" and I told him to continue. He asked if I wanted the grant and I told him I don't say yes to anything on the phone and he could mail me information. He laughed and said it didn't work that way.

So I asked him to not ever call again and to place me on their do not call list. (I have been on the Actual do not call list, updated this year). He said he needed my cell-phone to do that. I refused and asked to talk to his supervisor. He said he was the supervisor.

So, I told him I was going to record the call and then call the police. Then he tells me his supervisor is not there. I got tired of the guy not even being able to speak English so I told him I was hanging up.

I did call the police and they gave me this website for Internet Crime with the FBI -- not sure if it will get me anywhere. But, I certainly want to warn other people and to try to get these people off our phone lines.
