Called and said they were an auto body shop looking for Adrian. I told them they had the wrong number. She kept trying to ask me questions, like "So you never brought a car in?" I tried asking where they were located and she said they were the west location.
Called telling me that my computer has viruses and that he works for the technical support part of windows. I knew it was a scam from the first moment, but had fun with him for 17 minutes. It was wonderful entertainment. If nothing else, I hope my time with him prevented someone else from getting called and scammed.
My wife received a call from this number with the caller saying, "Guess who this is?" Thinking it might have been our grandson, she replied with his name. The caller then claimed to be the named person, and began to describe a series of unfortunate events leading to a present predicament. No longer thinking it might be our grandson, she asked, "Who is this?" The caller responded with a different name (I assume having forgotten the name she had given him), whereupon she said, "I don't even know you," and hung up. This was an obvious "grandchild needs money" scam, even thought money had not been mentioned at that point. WARNING!
