stated his name is Officer John Marshall with the Treasury of legal Affairs and that I owed Back taxes. If I didnt pay then a warrant would go out for my arrest. Demanded $3900.00 and wanted me to keep him on the phone while I drive to the bank and withdraw cash to mail to them within 3 days. Also spoke with a "Jack Halloway" badge # 66CA and a Chris Harris badge # 50566. Once I told them that I knew this was a scam he called me a stupidbitch and hung up.
Ok so just go off the phone with John Harris Badge #50566 With U.S. Dept of Treasury Legal Affairs. He said that my dad owed taxes from 2009 and 2010 and wanted $3996.53. I asked if he took american express and he said "What is that? Is that a Bank"? I knew it was a scam so I played along F****ng with him as long as I could. He said I needed to go to bank take out cash, then go to Safeway and buy a Voucher. He wanted me to hang up my office line, call him back on my cell, keep him on hold and take him with me to the bank and then to Safeway so I can buy Voucher. After f****ng with him for as long as I could, he finnaly got mad and said that I was wasting his time and that he was gonna issue a warrant and the cops are gonna come to my House Right Now with Hand Cuffs and take my Dad to Jail. REALLY
The call starts with this is the dept of the United States Treasury Dept have you received the form CP 503? No I answered. Well, you are in alot of trouble. Then he told me to call back to the legal dept and gave me the number of 213-533-0482. Oh, wait he said that line is not busy at the moment I can transfer you,. I got a man named Adam Peterson Treasury Dept LEGAL He to have my lawyer call immediately or they will begin proceedings. I asked what this was about he said it was my 2009 back taxes. I asked how much did I owe? He said. $4786.11. I started to laugh. Then he hung up.
Called left message - Stating he was from the Legal Affairs of the Treasury. Plroceeded to tell me in a very accented voice that This was a verbal notification of the start of legal actions and to call back 233-213-0482. If I didn't have time to call have my Lawyer call back asap. Funny he ended the call with "Until then have a blessed Day".
