A very aggressive woman calls several times a week offering a free magazine subscription. When I say "not interested" she wants to know who else she can talk to (the president of the company). I offer to take a message and she says she'll call back. I tell her that the president won't return her call, but she keeps calling to ask for him.

I seem to have located where the (213)537-1439 call is orinating from it is an unpublished or unavailable number and I have an approximate address through a phone search tool it is a land line provider is Tcast communication location Los Angeles CA the approximate address is 238 Tom Bradley BLVD. It is across the street from the Los Angeles criminal court,and near a multitude of federal buildings and a block away from Cal Trans. You can get a street and ariel veiw with Google Earth.

I had a call from them today -- they were calling to renew a free subscription I have with a magazine I do in fact subscribe to.  They asked nothing unusual or unexpected, nor tried to sell me anything.

After I had answered their questions, I asked who they in fact were, knowing that the magazine was clearly a client.

The person I spoke with had no reservations in revealing their company was called Spark Marketing & Research - and that she was calling from the Philippines.  http://www.sparkcallcenter.com/

I queried the 213 (LA, CA) area code and she knew nothing about that.  This would be the magic of call centers and VOIP phones kids.  :-)

In this instance, they were working on behalf on an organization I have an existing relationship with.  Perhaps not all calls from them will be as reasonable.

Thank you for posting this information.  I had my suspicions that it was Spark Marketing calling us, so after reading your post yesterday, I sent the "US Partner" listed on their website an email ([email protected]) about the repetitive calls to our office for someone who isn't here.  He emailed me back today and apologized.  He also said we will not be called again.

I hope the other people they are wrongly contacting can get the calls to stop as well.
