Did not answer this call. A few months ago, male with an accent had called about a problem with my computer & I almost fell for it. I am a Senior & not too computer literate with a new computer I set up myself. Figured I did something wrong. Anyway, it is a scam to get you to pay them like $500 to fix your computer. They have called since using different number. I cut them off by telling him what he wanted before he could tell me. He hung up. Now, I screen all calls.
THIS IS A DANGEROUS SCAM. A woman with an Indian accent called and said they had received alerts from my computer and that it is infected. I threatened them and hung up. Don't be fooled.
A male with a heavy foreign accent said they called me because I needed tech support for my computer. It is a scam. I put a block on my phone for that ph#
Caller ID as others have stated is "L A CTY M T A" … call came in at 7:40 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. With a family member away at school in that area code, I did answer the phone. Dead air.
Thanks to all these reports, I am (a) blocking the call (b) no longer concerned about family member.
