I have been receiving a call from 213-965-3964 (los Angeles area #) The caller's name is Ms. Catherine. Informed me that I have been selected by the US Government Grants dept. to receive $7649. If I want to receive this money, simply provide them my bank account number or credit card number and they will credit my account today. When I asked a series of several questions, I was told that TOMORROW after I give them my information and receive the money they will be happy to give me their telephone number. Happily though, they provided me their address (after I could hear them typing into their Google search) for the address of the US Government Dept. 200 Independent Road Washington DC, CA 30137. The supervisors name is Veronica Johnson...WHAT a @#$@#$@ SCAM!!!! I cant believe that some people are actually providing these people their information thinking that they will be getting money like this.... The best part was, when I asked the "Catherine", who spoke VERY VERY poor English, what do you think, I was born yesterday?? "Catherine" said, NO. I am not thinking that you were born yesterday...So I proceeded to say, well you must have been for thinking I was going to provide you my account info. She knew my birthday, my home address, my full name...how the hell do I block this info from getting out??? HELP?!?!
Called told me my name and address, then said I was entitted to some money. When I heard that I hung up. That was on Monday (12/9/13, he has called back everyday since then. I will not answer, leaves no message.
