(bored sounding girl) "Mrs. Harris? How are you today?"
(me) "I'm doing fine, and I'm on the 'Do Not Call List'"
(girl) "That's good. I'm calling from (mumbled..sounded like General Electric)"
(me) "I said I'm on the Do Not Call List"
(girl) "That doesn't mean anything to me."
(me) "It means that salespeople are not supposed do cold calls with our number."
(girl) "That doesn't pertain to us - we don't do cold calls. Evidently a friend or family member thinks that your home is not secure."
We've had DAILY phone calls from these idiots over the past few weeks - most with different ID numbers and all trying to sell Home Security systems. Doesn't matter if you tell them to take your number off or not - they keep calling. The Do Not Call list is an absolute joke - and they know it.
Call hang up at 132 pm PST today when answering machien came on. No message. Eitehr a scam or telemarketer robo call. Pick one. They just look for suckers to talk to them and give them their personal information. Thieves are like that.
