Just got another call from them they call several times a day and hangup however today they spoke. Sounded like a child possibly female talking about home security and how we need to get their GE services. I kept them on the phone for over 5 minutes and finally asked when are you going to come out and hook it up when the phone went dead. I just kept saying uh huh , I hear you and what when I wanted them to repeat themselves. They asked for a person not at this house when I told them that person did not live here they went off on their sales pitch.
Bottom line is the do not call registry is a joke and does not work and it was never intended to. Its just another feel good attempt by Government.
As far as I know there is no way to stop this.
Got a call trying to sell a Security system. When told we are on the DNC list they hang up. When I call back, the number is obviously disconnected. All that needs to be done is convict one of these scammers and share the proceeds with everyone who fields the calls from these a%$#holes.
Phone call scam - number popped up as "Home Security" on my phone so I answered it. Attempted to get info from me - very rude and demanding. Lots of laughing in the background. The police need to be on top of this. They should not be able to have their number listed as "Home Security".
