Exactly. I do not answer calls I do not recognize. My voicemail clearly states "if this call is important please leave a message and I will get back to you" no voicemail. No importance.
Recieved a call a day or two ago on my cell phone. Answered, and a female voice which I seem to recall even gave a name (don't remember the name) started talking about helping me lower my auto insurance bill. Did not provide a company name that I heard. I said I was not interested. I believe they even asked if I was sure and I said I'm sure again. Then they said sorry to have disturbed you and hung up rather abruptly.
I didn't stay on the phone long and was not really listening to what they said when I realized it was a telemarketer. If it was a robo call I wasn't aware of it at the time, and as someone else said if it was a robo it would have been one of the more advanced robo calls I have ever recieved.
Ok people this is how it works.
Robo call
You answer
They/robo hangs up
You have now given robo a "live" phone number,
Next step .... they sell your number to a gazillion other scammers.
Insurance has nothing to do with it
SOLUTION:: DONT ANSWER THEIR CALL.
