They called me from the following number: 214-446-9003.
The call back number provided in the message is: 678-816-1610.
These guys are scam artists. This is a popular ploy... They will call and try to alarm you so that you are not thinking things through like you normally would. They want you to be scared that you will be taken to court or arrested. Ultimately, what they want is to get you to agree to pay the (bogus) debt with one of your credit or debit cards to avoid catastrophe. To be clear, these are scam artists and do NOT represent one of your creditors.
The information they provide is completely false. You will not be served papers. You do not owe the debt they made up. It is 100% false… a trick… a hoax of the worse kind. Don’t give them any personal information. They will drain your accounts and by the time most people realize they have been a victim, the scam artists have set up shop in a new location with new phone number so the authorities cannot track them down. Be smart! Don’t talk to them. Hang up on them if you answer their call. Do not call them back if they leave a message.
Scammers call using VOIP and they are able to change the caller ID, to any number that they wish to display. So what actions can you take?

Said legal call, is going to serve papers. Did not get name of company. Calling from Dallas landline. Did not want to talk to our security department to get proper procedures for serving papers.

I keep getting a call lately from a "Debbie Binz" (last name might be Vens or related sounding) saying she's a process server who will be looking me up in response to a complaint against me. phone is 214-446-9003. I called this number & it comes up as not a working number. I called referenced number, 713-588-4623 & was told they were Goldberg & Associates. Once I gave them the "case number" I was referenced to they needed the last 4 of my social to identify me. I asked for another method to identify me & they said it was a third party situation & that they needed to be sure they were talking to the right person. I told her that the call was over & hung up. In less than 15 minutes both the NONWORKING number & the Goldberg number called me back-to-back. while one might be a debt collector, the name is too common to pull up a collection agency easily that gives me a clue to what's going on. anyone had a problem with these people? I've still no clue of what they are threating me with as I refuse to give them any portion of my social.
I rec'd a call today ... stating there were charges against me... Fraud and another charge... She had information about a past bank I used and other old reference information plus home address... I knew she was wrong as my credit report was just pulled a few weeks prior and the information did not match... I told her " this is a joke right?" ..... this can not be possible.... She hang up a few minutes later... At one point she said she could do a three way with the bank.....
The first thing I did was called Life lock and reported it...... I also tried several times to call the number the back....
