This number called a few days. Today they claimed to be Amazon Assoc. I asked questions and caught her in lies. This is a scam to collect credit card numbers. They are not associated with Amazon.
Called me 5 times over the last 3 days. Never would talk when I answered...until today. Said they were with Amazon and I had recently shown interest in being a home based seller. I have not. Asked the caller to put me on the no-call list and he refused, claiming that he "didn't know what that is." I advised him of my position as a licensed peace officer and he told me that it is a federal offense to falsly identify myself without 3 forms of ID. I gave him all the ID i was going to over the phone by advising my badge number. He mocked me saying that he could make up a badge number whenever he wanted. Complaint filed with National Do Not Call registry for the automated dialer and refusing to add me to the do not call list.
