Got the same call. When I saw I wasn't home to even look at my phone and that if it had errors I would take it to Best Buy because it's under warranty I got hung on. There's to many scams out there.
They call, using a "spoofed number" program to make the call appear as if the listed owner of the number is calling you. I JUST got a call of the same nature 1 minute ago. It's more professional, with that automated reply to press 1 to speak to someone about these errors..
Seriously people, Uncle Same isn't quite at this level yet and no one at Microsoft gives a crap about your personal computer's safety.
I only pick up to aggravate them. I happen to BE a computer tech.
Got the same call a few minutes ago. I've heard of the "Microsoft" scam and now have a rule not to answer the phone unless its from a phone number I know.
