I got this situation that is long story but I had restriction order over my ex so we are back know so she calls from a 8656696....I have Name I'd from metro PC's...And I told her why you can give me her number she like I can why I asker and she like what it matters is what I feel inside and she said if i give u this number I don't know who's going to stay with it....And she still calls me .....But going by rules she broke law there is a limit to call back to someone that u made ristriction ....Now you guys are confusing me lol.....Jajj..So I might be from Walmart or cuz my saids USC but no are
Just got this call on iPhone 4S also with Sprint. Called Sprint and the rep was helpful although she was not familiar with the issue. I told her that I googled that number and found this board. She ended up blocking (or attempting to) block this number from calling me again by putting something like 800-xxx-9999 in front of this number into my account as a "blocked caller"; she said that *might* prevent this number from calling me again.
I politely asked her to forward this nuisance up the chain of command so Sprint will hopefully investigate it and find out why this is happening. I did mention that it spells out UNKNOWN [CALLER] and she also found that made a lot of sense as others here had mentioned. Maybe it's just how the iPhone handles people who call from numbers that are blocked. I just talked to my wife and the number was in fact HER calling from work. Her work number is on a trunk with a bunch of numbers, and that one she got that moment is blocked I guess, so that's why this happened.
I also asked her to make a note to ask Sprint engineers to create a service option that lets you block UNKNOWN callers completely. My Ooma landline service does this and it is awesome...you can either send them straight to voicemail or have it give them a message that your number is disconnected. The rep was very helpful and courteous (and just as puzzled as I was) and said she would forward all of this info on to her supervisor.
I just received a call from this number. I answered it and it was actually my boyfriend. Which is strange cause he was calling from his cell phone and first off that is not his number, second off I have a denver number and there was no area code on this number. So when I answered and heard his voice i was really creeped out. I just tried calling it back and it said that you have to have and area code... I just got an iphone in december and this is the first call I got from this number. All I want to know is why did my boyfriends call come up as this number?
The same happened to me n it was my boyfriend. It also had no area code. We thought it was weird. Do you think it could be an app for free calling from the iPhone?
I called my boyfriend tonight and the phone number on his caller ID was 865-6696, no area code, he answered and it was me. This isn't my number and I don't understand how that happened at all but there's another piece to discuss.
