I received in my cell phone, which is registered in the Do No Call list, a recorded, commercial call from this number. The call began "Congratulations, you have won …". At this point I ended the call and filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (complaints.donotcall.gov).
I got this same call from this number. No voicemail, just a busy line. The fact that it was contantly busy and left no voicemail leads me to believe its a temp number to call and scam people. If no answer they move on to the next person. If they happen to answer its because they were between scams or possible scamola's.
Also, it doesnt need to be said because everyone should know by now in this day and age. Banks or financial institutions typically dont call you and ask for you to prove who you are. They know because they called you. Also, if in doubt, hang up and get the real number and then call you bank directly, do not click on links in emails to sign in or give info to a random caller pretending to be your financial institution. If they are from a collector or service, have them verify who they are looking for. If they cannot then ask them to contact you by the mailing address they have listed. If their fake they probably wont have it. Also you can go online and verify the contact info or call yourself.
This number: 1-214-907-2653, showed as a missed call on my T-Mobile Pay-As-You-Go Emergency phone. They called 01/08/2015 at 2:09p.m. No message and the called is listed as, "NO NAME." I don't give out this number to anyone. I do not have a Verizon wireless account, not now or ever! Beware and Have a Blessed Day! :)
