I was at my grandma's house on New Years Eve which happens to be her birthday. She turned 91. A 1800 number called three times so I decided to answer. A guy asked for her. I said she was busy. I said can I help you and he said no. He was persistent saying he wanted to talk with her but would not tell me what it regarded. I told him it was her birthday and she can not hear on the phone anymore. This is when he started using aggressive language. I aked him if he was calling to wish her Happy Birthday and he said no. So I told him that she did not have anything to talk with him about and hung up. No sooner than two seconds had passed and someone from 215-354-5500 called. It was the same guy. I said "Hello" and he says "hey boy put your grandmother on the phone". I told him quit calling it was her birthday. He repeatly called me boy. I told him if he wanted to see a boy to come here and I would show him a boy. At this point I had know idea who this guy was or what he wanted. This is when he started to threaten me and he said hey boy if you want to see the next day you will put her on the phone. I laughed at him and hung up. I called back the number because not only did he threaten me I was extremely upset. I talked to a supervisor and told him what happen. He said they could listen to the call but they would press charges on me if I said anything trying once again to scare me from pursuing this matter. I told him to listen to the calls. He assured me that guy would be fired if indeed it went down the way I said. Which I extremely doubt. I understand these people are doing a job but to threaten people is the wrong way to go about it. They shoud have some regulations and standards. My Grandma is 91. Imagine if she had answered the phone and actually could hear the guy. There is no doubt he would have used this forceful approach on her and tried to scare her and intimidate her like he did me.
Got a call at 6:30 am from this number. The person left a voicemail looking for both myself and my ex whom I have not been with for almost two years now. She said something along the lines of "a complaint is being filed against both of you."
I admit I've got a couple of accounts in collections, but I never had any joint credit accounts with my ex. And, she got my ex's name wrong - close enough for me to know who she meant, but still wrong. She didn't leave a callback number either.
Oh, I'm so frightened about the "complaint" being filed... I'd better call back right away to the number I'm supposed to just magically know... </sarcasm>
Jeanette called and left a message on my parents phone saying that there was a billing problem with one of my prenatal visits and that I needed to call the office asap so that we could get it straightend out. I called the number as soon as I got the message wondering what in the world could be wrong. Luckily, she was unable so speak with me but would call me back shortly. In the mean time, I had my husband google the phone number and I find out that this is really a collection agency using my pregnancy to get me on the phone with them. LOVE THE ETHICS, and thanks for the stree that you have just put on a 7 month pregnant woman!!!
Got three calls in succession and answered the second call. The heifer used a tone as if she were my best friend. I advised her that she had the wrong number. She called right back and said, "I asked a question. Is there a problem?" I told the cow she had the wrong number again, and then blocked the -----.
