I've received 3 calls from them throughout the day. When a person cannot pronounce a simple business name, they should not be in the telemarketing field. Sounds like they are scammers, and on top of that, SUPER annoying. Sounds like they are pretty busy calling people and harassing them.
Supposedly they are "searchgreen.net". I let them have it today. They have been calling me 3 or 4 times a day. I am reporting them to my state attorney general.
They called us several times trying to verify company address, name and phone number saying there was "no charge to "update" the listing" so I asked what was the charge for the original listing...she tried to blow off the question. The lady had a very heavy accent that I could hardly understand, I am sure she was calling from a foreign land. She kept asking questions to get me to say "yes" and that I was the "person in charge". It is a scam to get the receptionist to say yes to ordering the listing. She told me the listing was for a website called Search-Green.net and said it was for an "update". Well I looked up the website online while I was on the phone with her and our company name was not listed. So I asked her if this is for a "update" I told her I just looked up our company on the website and it wasn't listed. I told her that she needed to stop calling our company and remove our company from her list. When I called back the number on the caller ID 215-475-5480 it was a disconnected number.
Have recieved about 20 calls from this number in 4 day. Everytime I tell them to take my name off the list, they talk over me as loudly as they can, and then hang up. Today I asked for a manager, and he said that I should be thankful for his agents calling so many time to "grow my business". When I hung up, he called me back and said that if I did not answer his questions he would send my business a disclosure letter. I aske dhim what that meant, and he responded with "you had better discuss it with your attorney, you will see tomorrow. Very strange!
They have been calling our house for 3 days now. I have called back several times and only get the busy signal. Today at 4pm, they called and I answered but after the usual silence I recieve, I said "Don't call here again" and suddenly an Indian sounding guy starts yelling at me! "why? Why should I stop calling? Why?" I just hung up. This is ridiculous. Hope they call again. Am going to start singing "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. Ra Ra Ah Ah Ah. Gaga Ooh laa laa.
