I keep getting harrasing phone calls from this number a strange man keeps saying hello than hangs up. Please if u see this number dont answer it . It seems like a scam
The idiot pseudo lawler, Dave Hunter, said I owed $400 to my former cell phone carrier. This is an out of date debt that was settled 5 years ago. He was an ignorant piece of crap. He wanted me to pay the $400 right there & then. I told him I had paperwork about the settlement to prove it was settled, he didn't want to hear it. He gave me an address & wanted me to repeat it word for word back to him so I could pay him. He had me on the phone with nearly a half hour. When I said that I had a phone number & name he could contact for proof, he became a real a-hole. When I said that I didn't have any more time to play this game & needed to be somewhere soon, the prick slammed the phone in my ear.

These people call at least 3 or 4 times a DAY !!!! They are NOT a Law Firm !!
Their 800 # is 877-543-6151 and you may call it toll free !!!! Say this is an important call for Oxford Law Firm , Please stay on the line ! Then just set the phone down !!! They will stop calling you if you do this everytime they call.
Received a letter today saying that my owed amount was $400. but I can settle by paying $190 by May 31, 2012.
I immediately googled this (so called) law office. Would like to know how they got my address, and should I respond.
In ANY case of collections... and especially with these dumpster divers there are 4 major things you need to do. 1. document all call dates times names and reports of conversations. record if you can. 2.. send them a request for written verification of the debt certified letter. they have 30 days to find your original signed contract or the debt is no longer valid and 3 send them a cease and desist phone communications. all are form letters you can find online. 4. read up on the FDCPA. the more you know the more you can protect yourself.
