Received a couple of calls from this number which left a threatening message about US Treasury warrant for arrest. I called back and a person with an Indian Accent answered.. Lots of background chatter, like he was in a room full of telemarketers. He asked my name and then hung up.. called again.. got a different person..woman, with accent, she asked what number I received the call on.. told her.. she hung up.. Called back a third time talked to another man with Indian accent, asked for the number from which I received the message, gave my phone number, he correctly identified my name, but then proceeded to tell me there is a warrant for my arrest for not paying taxes. That my drivers license will be suspended, my home seized and they are sending someone to arrest me.. I told him I pay my taxes, and I wasn't aware of people being arrested for not paying taxes.. He said, give him 45 minutes while he has me arrested and then well talk.. he hung up..
Any time you receive a cold-call from someone with an Indian accent who -- 1. offers you something or 2. threatens you, you know it's 100% scam and you should hang up. Never return these kinds of calls.
I received 3 calls within 2 hours from this phone number. This number is obviously a scam as it was a recording and someone with an Indian accent saying he was Steve Martin. Just got interrupted as I am typing this. Same recording, make that 4 calls. Is there anyway these called can be stopped.
This is a scam. It was on the news. File an on-line report with the FCC.

The calls originate in India. These people are hard core scammer/extortionists There is no way you can stop the calls from being initiated, but you can protect yourself with a call blocker. Also, do not pick up on numbers you do not recognize.
