Hi, I am from Singapore. And as soon as i reached Malaysia yesterday (on 30 July 2012), i got a call from this number. I missed it as I had switched my phone to silent. Today (31 July 2012 around 755pm), I got the call again, but this time, sensing something is amiss, i did not pick it up. I believe, this should be a problem, possibly, a leak from the Malaysia's Telcos to those scammers after get out from Singapore and start to auotroam in Malaysia.
i also picked up 2 calls from +60 3 02 which appears to be a Malaysia's private number trying to sell some investment. 1 of them has a fake "caucasian" selling the investment and one of them seems to be the "hello.. goodbye" automated voice which you guys describe.
Got calls from this number for the past week. When answered, no one spoke, just hang up. but caller kept calling.
really annoying. how can we report or block this number ?
Called my mobile on average three times a day since last Tuesday. No calls on Sunday though. I picked up twice on Tuesday and Wednesday but no one on the line, just some background sounds (like people speaking in a distance). Very annoying. And as I am typing this, another call is coming in. That makes it a record 4th call today!
Also noticed pattern of calls from an "Unknown" number as well. Started same time as that number from Cleveland Ohio. Also on average two to three calls a day last week.
Singtel person I spoke to said that if overseas number hard to do something about it. If local, can make police report and have some followup action. Our telcos should do something about this!
The second time this guy called, i accidentally switched to answer, but i didn't say anything. And heard a male voice saying hello twice then he hung up.
Thereafter got he call 5-6 times per day.
Already added numbers starting with +121 to auto reject. He's really persistent... LOL.
