9/29/14 - Received a call from this # 216 894 3535, woman with a heavy Indian accent stated she had called several times over the last few days/weeks to notify us of a technical problem with window on our computer to which I answered, oh really.. give me a good number where I can call you back, she said that she couldn't do that. I told her I seriously doubted there was any problem with windows, because we didn't have windows, she hung up!
Beware!!
Unfortunately, I fell for the scam. They were very convincing. I'm so embarrassed. Called my credit card company to have the charge removed. Called the police who took the info and referred me to this site and to IC3.gov. Had to change my password for Yahoo and for my online banking. Took my computer to a technician who "detoxed" it. What a mess. Learn from my mistake.
They are freaking SPAMMER... They don't respect the do not call list, nor do they respect the time call. Answer the phone, press 1, wait for the STUPID, IDOT, agency to come on. Tell the AxxHxxxx to go Fxxx themselves. Yell and call them every nasty name, you can think of.
This is the only way to fight back.
I am purchasing a Boat Horn. The next time, I will give them a blast of my Boat Horn.
Just received two calls from Ricky, male heavy India accent, "please quickly turn on your computer. Would like to show you what hackers have done. Do not delay. This is very serious." Hung up on Ricky. He called back. The number is 216-894-3535 indicates wireless caller.
