I keyed Satyam Computer Services into a search engine and see they are supposedly a computer company based in India.
She called and asked if I was a building business at my home phone, I asked her to repeat her question and she asked if this was a private residence I said yes and she said goodbye, quick way to get rid of her and maybe off her calling list.
If you are harassed by these types of calls (per the Qwest representative) I contacted, via on-line, the Attorney General's Office for my state and one letter from them stopped the calls.
This was after I had requested several times to have our number taken off their caller list.
A couple years ago I was told by an American Company that after five p.m. all calls are outsourced to their offices in India. The company I worked for had a billing issue with an office product company and could not get transferred to anyone who spoke English well enough or understood accounting well enough to help me fix the issue.
After one year I finally talked with a 'trained' individual, who spoke perfect English with a hint of accent, understood accounting and took care of our problems.
Since then I've been told other American companies are outsourcing their business needs to India and Thialand. It made me angry then and in this economy it makes me angry now to have jobs Americans need outsourced overseas!
Same story as the rest, Indian dude will read you the wrong address and ask you to confirm, I asked him why he needed my address, and he hung up. Very fishy.
Same thing as everybody esle. Asian lady requesting my business address, I simply hungup. This is the 3rd time they tried to call. The url above is incorrect the correct url is www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html
