They also call Late - Usually after 9pm , which is a Violation of the Do Not Call Act. It is also sickening that they Use Children and Cancer , as a Rouse to Perpetuate their Scam -
Since it's legal for these so called charities to solicit over the phone, the government needs to make it harder to become a true charitable organization. Perhaps the government could pass some legislation that states a certain percentage of the money taken in must be used for real charitable causes before receiving recognition as a charitable organization. Doesn't seem fair for the crooked organizations to only be giving the smallest percentage of money to the charity they represent while they stuff their own pockets with the rest of the money. Making it harder to become a charity would help reduce these calls as it would be illegal to call us if they weren't a charity.
