Who's going to do that? It won't be anyone on here since you can do that better than we can. This site doesn't offer call blocking, or placing individual's numbers on any no call lists.
Rec'vd call this morning. The "fundraiser" was very harsh and abrasive in demeanor, also rude to the point of belligerence. First, I would never EVER give money to a stranger who calls me on the phone -- no matter who/what/why. And second, anyone who so aggressively and rudely treats someone he/she wants something from is not entitled to my resources and will not succeed in obtaining them.
If this is an actual charitable organization, they need to overhaul their methods and their approach to something more sympathetic, reasonable, and courteous. As it stands, they have created and solidified a terrible reputation for themselves. Please do not be bullied by these creeps, do not encourage them!
This persistent "charity" keeps calling me asking for my credit card information for a donation, even after I asked several times to not be called anymore. Well they finally pissed me off for good and I bought an Ooma internet phone that allows me to block 250 numbers. And they are the lucky first number I blocked! Ah, the deafening silence is wonderful.
I live in Springfield Illinois, and I assure you that this organization is not based in Springfield nor does it have a presence here other than a telephone number. They are based in Pennsylvania. A legitimate charity would not use a telephone number from another state. Beware of giving money to "charities" who have such a low rating concerning the actual use of monies to benefit those in need. They have a slick website, but all than means is money is being paid to a webmaster to create a warm fuzzy website. Scam.
We have received so many calls from them that I cannot even keep track. I have asked politely to be removed from their call list. It does not help to ask or yell or call them back as the calls continue. I told them I was on the do not call registry and they replied that they are exempt because they are a charity. Any legitimate charity would not operate this way. Do the recipients of any funds they give not care how the funds are collected? I question how they allow their names to be used when they only get pennies of each dollar donated. If they refused any donations from fraudsters like this "Children's Cancer fund", it would be unable to claim to be a charitable foundation. Then they would be gone. It's collectors like this that make us wary of even real fundraising.
