The best way to mess with these people is tell them you'll donate so have them send you a bill then send it back with no money and write on the bill to take you off their list. They get no money and it cost them postage.
Get many many calls from these people. Am tired of my privacy being invaded and their rudeness. I have unlimited long distance calling so I am now starting my own campaign by calling them back many, many times and tying up their recording. At least it makes me feel better!
I picked up the phone on the second ring, said "Hello" waited said "hello" again and the caller hung up. I Get calls from people claiming they're collecting for Illinois families of cops killed in the line of duty. The caller never knows how many have died in the last year or what percentage of funds go to the families. I have been threatened for not contributing so I think a hangup call is an improvement. I wonder if these calls are coming from prisoners of the State.
I called my local Police Dept. They told me to tell them to "GO AWAY" SO, they are not getting any money from me. Tell them to put you on their DO NOT CALL REGISTRY LIST. If they call again tell them you are turning them into the better business bureau.

An organization named The Police Protective Fund is calling people in the area soliciting contributions. I got two calls today. The Police Protective Fund is a scam and one of the worst-performing “charities” in the nation, giving virtually nothing to police. Don’t give them a penny.
