got a call from this number as well caller ID read Minnesota (I live in Florida) I answered and a man said he's from mucrosoft(Indian accent) I then asked what he wanted he said he recieved an error report from my computer so I asked which one he said the one with windows on it I said which one he didn't answer then I asked where he was calling from and he said Jacksonville and I hung up. The promptly got another call from an unknown name unknown number and didn't answer.
got a call from this number displaying as Ely MN could barely make the caller out through overseas accent. Had to ask why he was calling "do you use a computer with Windows on it?" Told him I don't and hung up as this junk is getting old.
Use your caller ID. Do Not answer calls from numbers/callers you don't recognize.
When you pick up the receiver, even just to hang up, you complete the connection and you'll trigger an intensified barrage of calls.
So, Just use your caller ID and do not respond. Answering the phone and telling solicitors not to call only keeps you as an active number in their system.
Only when we take the profit out of the behavior will the behavior disappear ...
