DP called looking to speak with the owner. Person who called said they were expanding in the area, but she was in Dallas I am in California. I finally got out of her what DP does, and it is something about processing credit cards.
Just tell the person on the other end that you do not use credit cards, and they will stop calling.
They have been calling me continuously and I have told them we don't use credit cards for our business and not to call here anymore. I think the person that calls must be deaf since they keep calling anyhow. Also registered for the no call list but it doesn't help. In the beginning the calls became almost non existent, but now they know they aren't being prosecuted, the calls are just as bad as before and more rude.
Calls occasionally and never leaves a message.
If what abby says is true, they make it sound like they are your current processor and they try to get info from you...
Just like any other personal information, never give out your merchant # or let anyone see your statements. Seems silly to warn that, but I know a couple of local businesses that had this type of scam actually come into their office and ask to see paperwork stating they were their merchant service providers. yikes.
I also continue to get calls around 4 pm every single day ....next time i will act like the owner and tell them to stop calling. I'll let ya know how that goes...
