Just received a phone call from this number and they left a message on my answering machine. The message was a female voice stating "This is Michelle 'Man?' (couldn't quite make out the last name as it sounded garble) with Pretrial Negotiation regarding a case pending have you or your attorney return my phone call...if you do not govern yourself accordingly" To the best of both my husband and my knowledge we have to cases going. Of course I tried to call the number back and was told the number was no longer valid.
Total scam. Debt is civil, not criminal, so there is NO warrant or charges. Your caller is just another two-bit con artist trying to scare people into paying a bogus debt, a debt that's already been paid, or even a debt that is owed - but not to the caller. More info here:
Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Received a call today from this 234-421-7937 played the message back the lady stated that i need to return th call today or have my attorney to call didnt say what it was in reference to she stated her name was Michelle Mann from pretrail intervention if she doesnt here from me or my attorney then she will waived the right to counsel and govern myself accordingly
These people called my mothers house looking for me. And i havent lived with my mother for years. She gave me the number and i called and was asked for last four of my social. I refused to give that info until i knew what the call was about because she wouldnt tell me anything until i "verified my info". I then told the woman i was going to the police and was going to have them call to find out what this was about. She hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager and got a man who told me a had a cash advance from 2011 that i never paid back. Now i have never in my life got a cash advance nor did i ever even hear of the bank where i supposedly recieved the funds. I asked if this was a scam company and they called me rude names and hung up on me AGAIN! So this is definatly a scam and i wish the FRAUDS calling from this place would be arrested and held accountable for their harrasment and disgusting morals. These people need to be brought down and if i knew of a way to get them caught i most definatly would do it. Its disturbing that they have our info and it should not be allowed to continue. It sickens me that people are wasting there time trying to scare people into giving their hard earned money away instead of these people actually getting a real job like the rest of us!!
I got a phone call from this company stating that I had a payday loan from 2011 and if I didn't pay the bill that I would be arrested for bank fraud and check fraud. The lady told me that they represented a litigation law support and this was them representing the payday company which I had never heard of. The lady Michelle told me that I have to pay them 900.00 in order to keep it out of court. I don't know if this is a scam or not but something needs to be done with these people harassing hard working people and trying to scare them out of their money.
